The Showercap Hour is an hour of World Music, Black hair stories and conversations. Oftentimes, the care of black hair is misunderstood, misrepresented and under-represented; here we hope to unravel the mysterious Afro, the Weave, the Lace Front, Cornrows, Headscarves, a Relax, a Perm and many more styles and hair processes. 

The perception of hair being the crowning glory of a woman’s beauty regardless of race is tried and tested, and in the hour I want to demystify all that is Afro.
